My mare LOVES this bit. I've gone back to basics and switched from the cavalon teardrop shank (amazing bit as well, discontinued) to this. Shes frothy right away, no tail swishing/ head tossing. It's a very fair bit. I like it better than a regular snaffle.

Perfect Bit!
We have bigger drafty type horses and we need larger bits to fit them. The 5.5in fits great! One of our horses is a bit of a nervous nelly and likes to chew on the bit. With the cricket he plays with it and is no longer chewing on the bit! It is so cool that you can hear it so you know when they are playing with it. I highly recommend Cavalon bits. They are so well made, great prices, and are designed for your horses comfort.

Great quality bit, very fancy and well packed! You would think it was a 150$ bit. Note if you have a metalab bit with the same mouthpiece, it’s not as stiff and more of a myler range of motion. Would definitely buy a Cavalon bit again! Great price,quality, and nice looking product.

Stop staring at these bits and give them a try. I jumped at this bit when it finally came back in stock. Not a single quality problem, extra fast shipping, and the 5.25 size I need in the MB04 equivalent mouthpiece that the bigger company apparently doesn't think my horse deserves to have.

Pleasantly Surprised
I bought two, one of two different sizes. One for my colt, the other to cut off and put the mouthpiece on my walking horse shanks. I figured I would feel less guilty about cutting the mouthpiece off given the lower price. If the quality of the bits weren't enough (sturdy metal, balanced, beautifully crafted), I was surprised by the presentation. The bits were shipped in sturdy cardboard packaging. Upon opening I am surprised yet again that the bits are in a satin drawstring pouches, to protect the bits. Opening the pouch to another surprise of the bits wrapped in tissue paper. They clearly care about providing beautiful, quality products at an affordable price. And because of how beautiful these bits are and how well presented they were; I did feel guilty about cutting the mouthpiece off my one bit, LOL!
